The guide
Using a candle warmer lamp safely
A gold flower shade looks best on a low setting — here is how to balance glow and melt.
Where to put it
A hard, level, heat-resistant surface with clear air above and around the shade — never beneath a shelf, a curtain or hanging fabric, and never on a soft surface that could block the base.
Around children and pets
The bulb and shade get hot in use, so position the lamp and its cable out of reach, and let everything cool for ten minutes before touching or moving it.
Running it
Use the timer (2, 4 or 8 hours) so a session never outlasts your attention. Unplug the lamp when you are away for a long time, and never use it as a general light — it is designed to warm candles only.
