The guide
Choosing a fragrance for each room
Light both wicks and let the pool reach the edge on the first burn — here is how to get the most from this large candle.
Bedroom and bathroom
Softer, rounder fragrances such as lavender, jasmine, vanilla or sandalwood suit rooms where you want to wind down.
Kitchen and hallway
Fresher scents — citrus, linen, herbs — cut through cooking smells and greet people at the door without feeling heavy.
Living home
Warm and spiced scents suit the twilight, and a candle in a larger container floods a bigger space. This one, with vanilla, jasmine and lily, is easiest to place by reading those notes against the home.
